Anna Kramer
Junior Fellow for Agricultural Trade and Economic Security
Anna Kraemer is an International Economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service, where she developsanalysis on agricultural trade, tariffs, and global market access issues. She manages large-scale trade datasets that inform U.S. engagement in multilateral organizations, and coordinates with the interagency on international trade policy.
She holds a Master of International Affairs from the University of California San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, where she concentrated in international economics and China, with formal training in applied data analysis. She interned with the U.S. Department of Commerce and CAPS, researching international trade, economic policy, and geopolitical risk, which informed policy analysis related to U.S.–China competition and supply chain resilience. Her two Masters capstone projects were an econometric analysis of international agreements and trade patterns, as well as a policy assessment of the U.S. and China’s use of national security concerns in economic policy.
She volunteers with CAPS in her personal time, as a Junior Fellow for Agricultural Trade & Economic Security.
