John Deedrick
Lieutenant General (Ret.) U.S. Army Special Forces
John retired from the Unites States Army after 35 years of distinguished military service as an Infantry and Special Forces Officer. John commanded units at nearly every level and commanded Army and Joint Forces during multiple combat tours in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. LTG Deedrick’s last three assignments were: US Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee, Commander, Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan, and Commander, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne).
John is the founder and CEO of E. John Deedrick Jr and Associates LLC. He serves as a Strategic Advisor to the CEO of Sig Sauer working with the global defense team to expand the depth of Sig Sauer’s defense portfolio. Additionally, he is an advisor to the University of Health & Performance supporting transitioning veterans and positioning UHP as a premier training provider for leadership programs catering to military and civilian sectors.
John also sits on Advisory Boards for Fortem Technology, Global Special Operations Foundation and the Center for Asia Pacific Strategy. He is an Ambassador for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides “cradle to career” educational support to children of fallen Special Operations Personnel and spouses as well as all Medal of Honor Recipients.
John is a Distinguished Alumni from The Citadel and holds a Master of Science in Management from Central Michigan University and a Master of Art in Strategic Studies from the Air War College. He has also completed the Kenan Flagler Business School Executive Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina and the NATO Defense College Generals, Flag Officers and Ambassadors’ Course (GFOAC).
